Enecuum is the first blockchain in the world to join millions of smartphones into a single network. With a unique approach, it features an innovative 3-factor consensus called Trinity consensus, combining PoA (Proof of Activity), PoW (Proof of Work), and PoS (Proof of Stake). This provides a high degree of network decentralization while significantly increasing both network security and transaction execution speed.
PoW is the principle of cryptocurrency mining where a user needs to complete computations of a certain difficulty. PoS rewards depend on the amount that is placed in a certain user's wallet.
Users do not need to have any kind of application opened – it can run in the background, using either WiFi or a mobile internet connection. It is hard to believe, but now mining is already possible on mobile devices. You can get more details in the technical docs or in the White Paper.
The mobile application works on the Android core only for now, but very soon for iOS as well. This app doesn't drain your battery more than any messenger does and requires a regular phone specification: Android 4.4, 1GHz processor, 1.5 GB of RAM.
Another key point to underline is HyperDAG technology for recording transactions, which combines the advantages of both blockchain and DAG approaches. It has the potential to process thousands of transactions at low cost while also having a high level of cryptographic protection against attacks.
Enecuum has been developed using Haskell, a programming language chosen for its stability of execution and reduced chances of side effects. A custom version of Cryptonight (Keccak + AES + X11) has been selected as the core cryptographic protocol for its high resistance to ASIC devices. Enecuum also uses SHARNELL Smart Contracts, which consist of formula and business-oriented linear logic, as well as logic for the system. This significantly reduces potential vulnerabilities such as freezes, deadlocks, and general misuse.
The interface is simple and intuitive, and usable by normal mobile devices. You can also access the Official Telegram Channel to follow updates or request more information about the project.
Right now you can trade Enecuum (ENQ) at KuCoin and there is also an ongoing giveaway at KuCoinPlay if you want to get some ENQ into your own hands. There is a lot of promise with this project if they can scale it up in the future.
